# London spa hotel shortlist

## Trip preferences

- Confirmed search dates: check-in on 4 November 2026, check-out on 7 November 2026, for 3 nights.
- Occupancy: 2 adults sharing 1 room.
- Spa requirement: pool and thermal-facility access, without treatments.
- The hotel and the spa are the main focus of the trip.
- Only one visit to central London is planned, so a central location is unnecessary.
- A nearby train or Underground station is desirable.
- Prices checked on 27 October 2026.

The budget is **GBP 1,000 total for the room, taxes, mandatory fees and pool/thermal access for both adults across three nights**. Only stays inside that cap appear here. Everything above it was dropped.

Every row below has a resolved access position: either the hotel publishes free resident access, the fee is published, or the condition is published. None of them is waiting on an unanswered question.

## All 6 options under the cap

**My spa-fit scores are subjective assessments out of 10 for your three-day stay**, based on the published pool and thermal facilities, the relaxation setting and resident-access flexibility. They use half-point steps and assess suitability on paper. They do not measure personally experienced service or treatment quality, and they exclude room quality, centrality and price. The published review scores are a separate measure out of 5 or 10 and are not averaged into my scores.

**Ratings were checked on 27 October 2026.** Spa ratings, where shown, refer to the spa or health-club business rather than the hotel. Whole-hotel scores are separate: Google out of 5 and Booking.com out of 10.

Distances from Waterloo are approximate walking-route distances, rounded using [OpenStreetMap routing](https://routing.openstreetmap.de/). They are geographical references, not journey lengths.

| Hotel and area | My spa-fit /10 and reason | Published spa rating /5 | Overall Google hotel /5 | Overall Booking.com hotel /10 | Spa facilities and overall feel | Nearby public transport | Walking-route distance from Waterloo |

Modern docklands hotel, two stops from Canary Wharf. | **Canning Town** on the Jubilee line or **Royal Victoria** on the DLR, about 8 minutes' walk | **9.5 km** |
| **[Hilton London Syon Park](https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/lhrsphi-hilton-london-syon-park/spa/)**, Syon Park | **6.5**. Adults-only spa inside the Syon estate. Book a spa package and access is included; book a plain room and it is GBP 25 per 90-minute visit. | **Syon Lane**, roughly 15 to 20 minutes' walk | **16.1 km** |
| **[Harbour Hotel Richmond](https://www.harbourhotels.co.uk/our-hotels/london/harbour-hotel-richmond/harspa-club-richmond)**, Richmond Hill | **9.0**. Strong water facilities, garden and unlimited access; low guest score warrants caution. | **3.3**. [Google](https://www.google.com/maps?cid=12344754893084170811), 74 reviews. | **3.9**. [Google](https://www.google.com/travel/hotels/entity/ChcI-pTLzuWikYhkGgsvZy8xdHZkajg3chAB?hl=en&curr=GBP), 848 reviews. | **7.8**. Near Richmond Park and riverside walks. | **Richmond**, about 20 to 25 minutes' uphill walk, or a short bus or taxi ride | **16.4 km** |
| **[InterContinental London – The O2](https://iclondon-theo2.com/the-spa)**, Greenwich | **7.5**. 17m pool, sauna and steam, free with the room; pool slots must be booked. | Not verified. [Booking.com](https://www.booking.com/searchresults.en-gb.html?ss=InterContinental+London+The+O2), 9,081 reviews. | 17m indoor pool with relaxation pool, sauna, steam room and 24-hour gym. Riverside, modern, one Jubilee line run from Waterloo. | **North Greenwich**, about 3 minutes' walk | **8.0 km** |

Ratings with fewer than 20 reviews have very small samples. Google and Booking.com cover different reviewer populations and their averages are not comparable. The Continental's guest score of 6.5 is the weakest here; read recent reviews before choosing it on price alone.

## Pricing for 4 to 7 November 2026

Availability and prices change; these are observations, not reservations.

| Hotel | My spa-fit /10 | Three-night room quote | Spa-access position | Room, rate and cancellation details | Dated price source |
|---|---:|---:|---|---|---|
| **The Continental Hotel and Spa** | **6.0** | **GBP 207** | Pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and gym are **free for guests who book direct** with the hotel. Bookings through a third-party site can be charged for leisure access, so book direct to keep this price. | Standard room, 3 nights, taxes included. Cheapest stay in the list and the weakest reviewed. | [Expedia, London search, 4-7 November](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Hotel-Search?destination=London%2C%20England&startDate=2026-11-04&endDate=2026-11-07&adults=2&rooms=1) |
| **The Lensbury** | **7.0** | **GBP 510** | Complimentary leisure access for all hotel guests, including the indoor pool and thermal suite. Floating-sauna sessions and treatments are separate. | Clubhouse Double. Booking.com quoted **GBP 479** for the same dates; Expedia quoted **GBP 510**. | **Hilton London Syon Park** | **6.5** | **GBP 474** | Two routes. A **spa package** includes complimentary facility access: the Stay and Spa package includes 90 minutes per person, treatment packages include 2 hours. A plain room rate is time-limited and pays **GBP 25 per person per 90-minute visit**, which makes **about GBP 624** total for the room plus one visit each on three days. | Queen Room, non-refundable, GBP 474. The GBP 624 figure is arithmetic, not a quoted package price. Compare it against the hotel's own spa-package rates before choosing. | [Expedia, London search, 4-7 November](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Hotel-Search?destination=London%2C%20England&startDate=2026-11-04&endDate=2026-11-07&adults=2&rooms=1) |

| **InterContinental London – The O2** | **7.5** | **GBP 945** | Pool, sauna, steam room and gym are **complimentary with the room reservation** for hotel guests. Pool slots are booked online or at spa reception after check-in. A non-resident pool day pass costs GBP 75, which is what residents avoid. | Standard room, taxes and fees included, lowest available public rate. Leaves GBP 55 of the cap. | [Expedia, London search, 4-7 November](https://www.expedia.co.uk/Hotel-Search?destination=London%2C%20England&startDate=2026-11-04&endDate=2026-11-07&adults=2&rooms=1) |

### Access evidence

- **Hilton London Syon Park:** [spa terms](https://www.londonsyonpark.com/spa-terms-and-conditions) state "Hotel residential guests may use the spa facilities for a £25 charge for 90 minutes of access per visit", and that gym access is complimentary. The [Hilton spa page](https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/lhrsphi-hilton-london-syon-park/spa/) advertises the Stay and Spa package with "90 minutes of complimentary spa facility access per person" and treatment packages with "2 hours of complimentary spa facility access". Access is included in packages and charged on plain room rates. Both statements are on the hotel's own pages.
- **The Lensbury:** the [Clubhouse Double page](https://www.lensbury.com/accommodation/clubhouse-double/) says "Your stay also includes complimentary parking and full access to The Lensbury's leisure facilities."
- **InterContinental The O2:** the [spa booking page](https://iclondon-theo2.com/makeaspabooking) says "For Hotel Guests: Complimentary with their room reservation" and lists non-resident pool day passes at GBP 75.
- **Harbour Richmond:** the dated Booking.com room table states "Includes unlimited spa access + high-speed internet" for both the GBP 690 and GBP 730 Double Room rates.
- **Crowne Plaza Docklands:** Quad Club & Spa access is described as free for registered hotel guests, with treatments charged separately. This comes from the hotel and Tripadvisor reporting rather than a single published tariff, so keep the confirmation email.
- **The Continental:** leisure access is complimentary for direct bookings and can be charged for third-party bookings. Book on the hotel's own site to hold the price and the access.
